On my own I suck, I’m so confused and misguided

My flesh tells me to lie, cheat, steal and be rewarded

Like Thomas, sometimes I wanna see the prints on His hands

So weak like seven days, yet loud like them rock bands

I’m aimed low now, on my own I can never win

So I let Him lead, on my own I only know to sin

Tried being the beast, dead end just like Tupac

Found myself in a casket, devil screaming, “Boy! You suck.”

So I called it quits, now I got that ‘No smoking’ sticker

I aint talking Madison or Pacific… hell fire really changed me quicker

But it was more of His love, now I’m on the grind in the body

I mean the body of Christ, now I got my Mr. Serve on

Wanted to be a ‘Teflon Don’, singing, “This is why I’m hot!”

But the cross showed me that really I was not

Not at all! I’m so dead, needed a Saviour to be redeemed from death

Now I’m free homeboy, now I’m His rest

Hold up homie! Chasing money, chicks and fame is lame!

We done tried it already, we still came back to call His name

Yeah, Jeezy and Ross got swag, I guess I’m dumb coz I aint got it

But then I love being dumb, coz I aint after what they chasing

Everyday is a battle; the dude in the mirror wants to run this life

But I kill him daily! Saddam Hussein style, even tried Osama

I’m a suicide bomber on him, yea, go ahead and ask my mama

I woke up today, signed a deal with that brother

“We can’t ever co-exist, one of us gotta die.” Heard what I say?

All he wants are lies; all he wants is sleep instead of pray

I’m like “You dying today homes!” He like “Bruce you tripping.”

I’m like I aint playing with you, Christ died, He wasn’t tripping

So you gotta too! Everyday of my life…I will never like you

“But I’m the face on your ID Bruce, you know you need me!”

I don’t need you at all, go ahead and get gone quickly

I’m living after the spirit, you’s a dirty old cheat

Jesus as a young boy seating with them scholars

30 years in preparation

At the age of 33 His mission was completed

Jews were hating Pharisee’s were complaining

Can anything good come from Nazareth?

40 days and 40 nights being tempted of the devil

Come into Jerusalem people crying Hosanna

Betrayed by Judas

Denied by Peter

Up in Gethsemane Jesus is praying

Them brothers His disciples busy sleeping

Betrayed with a kiss

Questioned by the high priest

Spitting on his face

Choosing a prisoner over Jesus

Simon of Cyrene bearing his cross

Jesus the King of kings crucified

Temple destroyed built up after 3days

His body going though walls

Being seen of them 40days

While they beheld He ascended

Translated from the power of darkness
Into the Kingdom of His dear son
Through our faith in what He's done
Not of the righteousness got through our works
The bible clearly state

It was Him on the cross made sin carrying my sickness
He exchanged His glory for all humanity's weakness

In His meekness He bore the cross

He died and rose now I am anointed to witness it
My life is changed its called a rebirth
Jesus reversed the curse when he patched
My faults the fault wrote in me since birth
