METAMORPHIC MUSIC

Fortune Mguni (a-k-a Metamorphic) was born in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, where he was raised by both his parents.

Metamorphic had both his primary and secondary education in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. Firstly at Senzangakhona Primary before proceeding to Bulawayo Adventist High School (BAHS); he then transferred to Gifford Boys High.

He was then later accepted into Grandeur College which is Christian College which helps young people in both their academics and their Christian walk. After graduating from Grandeur College he crossed the border into South Africa to attend Rau Technology Institute College to study Hotel and Catering Management.

Metamorphic is a proud Christian with a positive message to go along with his rhymes, his lyrics are scripture saturated. He ministers to the Christian and uses hip hop as a means of evangelism to the non-believer.

Metamorphic is no stranger to Hip Hop. Before he got born again he was a great Hip Hop fan but never had any prospects of being an MC someday. At the beginning of 2011 when he discovered that he was born to spit them rhymes, and that this was his purpose and vision, he had to stand firm and rap Christ Jesus and Him crucified. 

Metamorphic is a minister of the word beyond any shadow of doubt, he refused to be called “celebrity” because, he says; “This ain’t about me, it’s about the purpose and the will of God.”

He offers solutions every time and his solutions are compatible with the Word of God. Sensitive to people’s challenges as he is, he knows that he is not in this world to live up to any one’s expectations or demands (and those of this world) but to help minister to people and transform this sick world and defeated lives. He is not here to judge people or push them down the valley but to speak and breathe life to the dry bones because his rhymes are not self-centred or self-edifying but they are Christ-centred.
